No they didn't. It was within 5 yards. It was a horrible decision, it wouldn't have gotten a first down anyway. Also, they shouldn't have even been down there, the play that was reviewed wasn't a catch.

Nah, you can have contact within 5 yards. He released, but no separation was made by receiver. Turned into an easy pbu.

Im a Falcon fan and I disagree. Have to question the third down play call. Should of called time out when Ryan was obviohsly hurt on the previous play.

Falcons really got jobbed on barely touching the face mask call.That call is total BS in a championship game.Must have been ACC refs.

Just an FYI...within 5 yard of the line you can have both illegal contact and pass interference on the defense, according to the NFL rule book.

It definitely was pass interference, but the refs rarely call that in inside-5-yards-in-heavy-traffic situations.
