In before the lock.

Four wives, six kids, and one beaten murder rap.

But he used to be a premier LB.   Okay.

Thanks Coach, I always invite prayers on my behalf.

However, to respond to my post with such a cavalier attitude towards me and not utter disdain at what Lewis did seems off base.

Sounds like a commercial....

Narrator:  "Ray Lewis, you've got 4 wives, 6 kids and a beaten murder rap...now what?

Lewis:  "I'm going to Disneyworld!"

Off base is the facts that he and his co defendants where acquitted the latter for self defense. My point was why try and tear a man down that even tho was acquitted has admitted mistakes and has obviously changed from the man 13 years ago that would've even put himself in such a situation to begin with.

Tearing another human being down is what Ray Lewis and his "friends" did. Then, they tore down another. Literally.

You can't deny what he's done on a football field, but it's a shame people have chosen to forget what he did off of it. The man is at the very least an accomplice to a multiple homicide and very likely a murderer himself. Now let's get back to pre-game dances and post-game sermons and pretend he's a role model, ok?

Glad Ray has changed his life and the world is safer now. I just don't want to see him cry and say thank you lord 48 times a minute. He needs to learn what humility is. If he was humble people would truly forget what he did.

Perfect. I have never seen, been an accomplice in or committed a murder. So (cocks back arm, grips a large rock tightly and takes aim on the glass house of an image constructed around Raymond "The Impaler" Lewis)...

i have no room to talk.

Shameful that you would say this, after Ray worked SO hard to get us to see that knifes are much more effective than stones for murdering.

Man got away with murder. If that were u or I we would be in prison. He is no role model and he should be behind bars. Eye for an eye tooth for tooth.

The Ray Lewis celebrity love fest has always been a mystery ... i guess if you are a sports star you can get away with almost anything ...

And as far as "cast the first stone" comment ... the poster knows nothing about the context of that statement.

Has Ray ever testified to what he saw that night and has he spoken to the families and explained his part in the death of those two men?  If not the OP is justified in his post.

Coach is wrong. Lewis was most certainly NOT acquitted. He pleaded down to lesser charges, then testified against his former colleagues, (said testimony consisting mostly of "umms, huhhs, and dunnos"). THEY were acquitted, not Ray.

The man is garbage, pure and simple.

I don't recall him ever admitting to any mistakes over those deaths, nor do I recall him ever showing any remorse whatsoever.

Celebrated on ESPN, and among the populaces of Maryland and the DC. Everywhere else, uh..no.

No, that is not the point at all. The point is a man who has a serious off the field issue where clearly there are still questions after he did his 180 on the plea deal is being celebrated as a great human being b/c of his play on the football field.

It's a remarkable society we live in.
