In response to the poster said that FSU is the only school that does Mat Drills, thats absolutely ridiculous. I would bet that every single D-1 school does something almost identical to Mat Drills. They probably arent called that or do they have the same drills, but its the same thing. And offensive lineman did not skip Mats last year. They went through the actual Mat station (the toughest) and then went downstairs for high volume low rest lifting. I also dont think it was Josts decision soley and probably more like McHale and his idea combined.
