Miramar Nike 7-on-7 standouts

Sixteen teams from South Florida took part in a single elimination tournament in Miramar on Saturday. The event sponsored by Nike was won by Miami Northwestern who beat Glades Central in the final. We look at the top performers on the day led Teddy Bridgewater.

1. Teddy Bridgewater - Miami Northwestern - WR/S

Bridgewater spent the whole day playing wide receiver and safety. The University of Miami commit was dominate throughout the day and caught three touchdowns in the championship game.

2. Jamie Wilson - Glades Central - WR

The 5 foot 11, 185-pound 2012 wide receiver prospect was the most dominate performer next to Bridgewater. Wilson was consistent all day and made great one handed snag in the championship game in traffic. He is the next great wide receiver from Glades Central High School and recently called to speak to University of Florida coach Zach Azzanni.

3. Nick O'Leary - Dwyer - TE

O'Leary was solid as usual even as teams focused their defense on trying to stop him. O'Leary led Dwyer to the semifinals before being defeated by Glades Central.

4. Clinton Taylor - Miami Northwestern - WR

Taylor an FIU commitment was the other receiver for Miami Northwestern that had a big day. He is a slightly built slot receiver who is quick in and out of his cuts.

5. Kelvin Benjamin - Glades Central - WR

The 6 foot 6 Benjamin had maybe the catch of the day. Towards the end of the championship game he went up high over Bridgewater and snagged the ball with one hand and walked into the end zone. He had no problem blowing by defensive backs who don't respect his speed, but he was rarely thrown to most of the day.

6. Herb Waters - Homestead - S/WR

Despite Homestead only playing in one game, Waters a 2012 prospect had two interceptions and caught two touchdowns.

7. Tommy Lee Lewis - Dwyer - WR

The transfer from Palm Beach Lakes gives Dwyer another offensive threat. Lewis isn't real big but he is extremely fast a beat Glades Central twice for long TD's in the semifinals.

8. Elgin Hilliard - Miami Northwestern - QB

Hilliard a 2012 prospect led Miami Northwestern to the title. He another slightly built quarterback, but showed good leadership. He was helped by having a very good receiving corp.

9. Jesse York - Boyd Anderson - WR

York was one of the few bright spots for Boyd Anderson High School who were upset in the first round by Jupiter Christian in the double overtime. York made juggling catch on tipped ball over the middle.

10. Bryant Dubose - Northeast - LB

Despite being a defensive end by trade, Dubose played linebacker going up against O'Leary. The 6 foot 4, 240-pound Dubose showed good athletic ability even going up and breaking up a potential touchdown pass to O'Leary and then letting him know about it.

11. Darrien Allen - Pompano Blanche Ely - WR/S

Allen isn't very big at 5 foot 6, 140-pounds but he is a playmaker. The 2013 prospect won Ely's first game of the day in overtime with an interception.

12. Adrian Burton - Pompano Blanche Ely - CB

Burton a 2012 prospect had a solid day for Ely in helping them advance to the semifinals. He had multiple pass break ups on the day.

13. Aaron Baker - Glades Central - LB

Baker is 2013 prospect who was Glades Central's defensive stopper. In the semifinal game he was put in charge of slowing down O'Leary.
