Cousins has career day against Western Michigan

EAST LANSING - Before the start of the 2009 season, most knowledgeable college football fans in the state of Michigan would have selected the Western Michigan University senior if they were asked who was a better quarterback Tim Hiller or Michigan State sophomore Kirk Cousins.

Hiller has had a remarkable career at WMU and he will leave Kalamazoo with several Bronco passing records. The WMU senior is either first or second at WMU in virtually every passing category that can be track. There is even a website that was created before the beginning of the season to track the senior season of the Orrville, Ohio native.

At Spartan Stadium, however, the day belonged to Cousins, who was 22-of-25 passing for 353 yards and two touchdowns. Hiller had a very un-Hiller-like game with just 111 yards and one touchdown on 15-of-37 passing.
