No regrets for Coleman

Regrets? Antonio Coleman doesn't have any when it comes to the decision to return to Auburn for his senior year.

Two AU juniors -- Sen'Derrick Marks and Jerraud Powers -- were taken in the 2009 NFL Draft and both are making an impact in their rookie seasons with Powers starting 11 games for the undefeated Indianapolis Colts.

Coleman had the same opportunity but on Jan. 3, just three weeks after head coach Gene Chizik was hired, Coleman announced he was returning.

Nearly a year later, Coleman looks back favorably on his decision and his senior season.

"I know I got out there, laid it on the line and I had fun," Coleman said. "I enjoyed every minute of it. This was the best year I've had since I've been here.

"It was the greatest year I've had here at Auburn -- being around a coaching staff that's family-oriented."

Coleman had quite a season on the field too. He finished with 45 tackles and led the SEC with 15.5 tackles-for-loss and 9.0 sacks. But it was a four game stretch during the middle of the season were he tallied just one sack, and Auburn lost three straight games, that really defined Coleman's season.
