Carr has plenty of speed

As a sophomore last spring, Alex Carr helped lead Cedar Rapids Washington to a state track title in Class 4A. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound prospect anchored Washington's championship 4x200 meter relay team and placed in the 100 meter dash and 4x100 relay as well. This past fall, Carr put that speed to use on the football field as he saw his role steadily increase as a junior.

Carr finished the 2009 season with 100 carries for 704 yards and nine touchdowns along with 59 tackles on defense. That kind of production to go along with his 4.4 speed has led to interest from schools such as Iowa, Iowa State, and Illinois State, among others.
