Bruins offer Florida playmaker

The Bruins threw their hat into the ring for services of defensive end Ryan Shazier (6-3, 205, 4.56) from Plantation, Fla. Shazier is a one man wrecking crew off the edge and much of the reason, he is such a sought after commodity is his penchant for making plays in the opposition's backfield. Not a good thing for offenses, he faces.

It is easy to understand why Shazier is such a wanted player. He has is outstanding versatility to with his skill set. He could end up playing outside linebacker or defensive end on the next level depending on how much he grows.

As a junior, Shazier earned first-team all-district, first-team all-county and second-team all-state. That he made all-state at all as a junior from a state like Florida gives you an indication of his talent.

Shazier accounted for 87 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 19.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries (one that he returned for a touchdown), two forced fumbles and one blocked kick.
