Oklahoma Ventures Into New Territory

Within recent years it has become fairly evident that the Sooner coaching staff has made a commitment to stepping outside of the Big 12 region when on the recruiting front. Evidence of this can be found no further than just two months ago when the Sooners reeled in two running backs that can be found in Rivals100.

Hailing from San Diego (Calif.) Scripps Ranch came Brennan Clay while nearly 3,000 miles across nation came Niceville (Fla.) running back Roy Finch.

Fast-forward to present day and once again it is clear the Sooner coaching staff has no problem hunting down the nations best.

Meet Brooklyn (N.Y.) Abraham Lincoln's Ishaq Williams.

Standing at 6-foot-6, 220-pounds the weakside defensive end who calls the Big Apple home now can add Oklahoma to his ever growing list of offers.

"They offered me about two to three weeks ago," said Williams.
