Florida linebacker setting up visits

The recruitment of Serderius Bryant is heating up with the Sanford (Fla.) native preparing to take a visit to Oxford (Miss.) this month as he searches for his collegiate home.

The 5-foot-10, 202-pound outside linebacker from Seminole High School said he is planning on a trip to Ole Miss on April 17.

"Ole Miss is a pretty good school," Bryant said. "I like everything about Ole Miss. It is a good program, they run a lot of good players to the NFL. They have a good coaching staff and good people. I want to look at the coaches, the environment and I want it to make me feel like home over there."

Last season Bryant was named Third Team All-State, as well as first Team All-District, All-Conference and All-County. He accounted for 154 tackles, 13 for a loss and six sacks last season.

In addition to Ole Miss, Bryant holds scholarship offers from Colorado State, Central Florida, Miami and Cincinnati. College coaches are after Bryant and his ability to run a 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds, as well as his strength, measured by a 445-pound squat max.

Bryant said he received a scholarship offer from the BearCats recently after a new recruiting coordinator took over. The offer, coupled with the fact Cincinnati offers the Sports Management major that he is interested in studying, puts them in his top four. Central Florida gets a look by Bryant because it is 20 minutes from his house, which would allow his family to follow his college career.

"When you get that support, you play better," Bryant said about his family's involvement in his college career.

Colorado State has sent Offensive Coordinator and recruiting stud Pat Meyer to recruit Bryant and Seminole teammate Charles Green - a member of this season's CSU recruiting class - in his ear on behalf of the Rams.

"I like Colorado State," Bryant said. "Coach Meyer is a good coach. I know Charles, my teammate is going there. He told me about it. He said he took a visit and it was the best time he had in his life."

Bryant said he is planning on a visit to Colorado State as well as Cincinnati this fall, but first, he will join his Seminole High School teammates during spring practice, starting May 3.

"I want to just go out there and play the best I can play and be the best leader I can be this spring," Bryant said."
