V-Cast: Comp and PK on Week 1 win over Western

EAST LANSING - Michigan State accomplished a number of objectives on both sides of the football in their season-opening 38-14 victory over in-state challenger Western Michigan.

After struggling to gain yards on the ground in 2009, the Spartans got their first crack at redemption and the most that opportunity by piling up 297 yards on the ground behind a breakout performance by Le'Veon Bell and big game from Edwin Baker.
