Mullen talking Kentucky
As the offensive coordinator at Florida, Dan Mullen was accustomed to playing the Kentucky each season.
Nothing has changed even after he switched divisions and took the head coaching job at Mississippi State. The Wildcats are MSU's constant crossover opponent from the SEC East and will renew that annual rivalry this Saturday in Starkville.
"I consider Kentucky a rivalry game," Mullen said. "Any team that's your crossover game that you play every year it becomes a rivalry game for you so this is a big game for our players and our program."
The Bulldogs have won five straight games and will finally have an off week following the Kentucky game. But Mullen feels his team is focused on the task at hand instead of looking ahead to the open date and hopes the fans are in a frenzy when his team arrives at Davis Wade Stadium this weekend.
