Story takes in Eugene
One of Florida's top committed prospects Ja'Juan Story visited Oregon this past weekend. The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder is rated a 4* by Rivals.com. Story caught up with Duck Sports Authority to give us an update on his trip.
"It was good. They picked me up from the airport then we went to check out the locker room and I tried on some jerseys," said Story. "Then we went out to dinner because I got in kind of late. My host was Lamichael James and Darron Thomas for the night. We hung out and played video games and stuff. We got to know each other and that was pretty cool.
"I watched practice too. It was pretty intense," explained Story. "A nice tempo. Then I went to the coaches meeting where I got to talk to all the coaches. I talked to Chip. He was pretty cool. That night my host was Josh Huff and Bryan Bennett. We hung out and in the dorms and played darts and video games and watched some highlights and stuff."
Although Story is still committed to Florida he is looking around at his options after Florida's coach, Urban Meyer, retired earlier this month. The Ducks are looking to add more talent and speed to their wide receiver position and Story would fit in nicely to Chip Kelly's high octane offense. The players that make up that offense were one of the highlights of his visit.
