Kozan sets first visit

Four-star offensive lineman Alex Kozan will be narrowing down his list next week, but already knows one school that is going to make the cut and receive an official visit. That is the Iowa Hawkeyes who will host the 6-foot-4, 295-pound prospect on September 24 when they play Louisiana-Monroe. We caught up Kozan to get the latest on his recruiting, his interest in Iowa, when he will be making a decision, and more.

Q: Can you talk a little bit about your interest in Iowa? What stands out about them because you have said they are one team you already know will make the cut when you narrow it down?

KOZAN: Yeah, definitely. Just overall, I think it's a good fit for me. They like me a lot and really want me there and I like them a lot. Academically, it's a good fit because they have a top business school and that's what I'm looking to major in. They produce a lot of offensive linemen that go on to the NFL and offensive linemen are traditionally very successful in their program. Their strength and conditioning program is great and Coach Doyle is one of the best in the country. Overall, it's a good fit for me and I've already scheduled an official visit there.

Rivals.com ranks Kozan as a four-star prospect and among the top 250 players in the nation. The 6-foot-4, 295-pound offensive lineman currently holds scholarship offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, Colorado State, Connecticut, Duke, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, LSU, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Oregon, South Carolina, Syracuse, UNLV, Utah, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest.
