It was a long time coming for Castle Rock (Colo.) offensive lineman Alex Kozan but he finally got the news that he had been looking for on Thursday night when Ohio State finally pulled the trigger and offered the 6-foot-4, 295-pounder. Kozan confirmed to BuckeyeGrove that he was offered via text message on Thursday night.

The four star lineman already holds a slew of offers including Michigan, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, LSU and Illinois to name a few but had been waiting for a long time to find out if Ohio State was going to finally offer.

Kozan camped at Ohio State over the summer and was named a MVP for his work at the line position. But even with that trophy on his mantle the Buckeyes seemed to be hesitant to offer him and it took several months for the coaching staff to come through but better late than never for the Bucks and for Kozan alike.

The Buckeyes have been looking for offensive line help, most importantly at the tackle position and it is unknown if Kozan's final destination will be as an offensive tackle. But he has proven to be just too valuable to pass up on and it will be on the Ohio State coaching staff to find a spot for him if he does in fact commit to the Scarlet and Gray.

Kozan has said that he would like to make a decision by Christmas 2012 but in recruiting timetables are always changed and he could make a decision much sooner or push it back later if the picture has gotten too muddy with Ohio State's recent interest.
