Mullen pleased with bowl prep

Mississippi State wrapped up day three of game preparation for the Music City Bowl against Wake Forest on Monday afternoon.

The Bulldogs practiced through the weekend and will wrap up week one on Tuesday morning before breaking for the remainder of the week. According to head coach Dan Mullen's schedule Monday's practice was actually their Wednesday routine.

"You want it to feel like a regular game week," Mullen said. "I want us to be ready to go play the game on Thursday night this week. We'd be ready to go play Thursday night if we had to. Right now we have to finish up with another strong practice and I think we'd be ready to play Thursday night."

Of course by Mullen's calendar Thursday would be on Tuesday.

As for the early prep for the Demon Deacons, Mullen gave his team praise for their work ethic throughout weekend.

"I've been pretty pleased the last two days," Mullen said. "The focus has been pretty good on the game plan. There are some things we have to get cleaned up but overall the execution has been very good."

Like MSU, Wake Forest also went 6-6 in the regular season and should prove to be a formidable opponent for the Bulldogs.
