Column: New BCS standings send FSU a strong message


Florida State didn't show any signs of fatigue on Saturday despite playing in its ninth straight game without a bye. The Seminoles scored on five of their first six drives and took at 31-0 lead over Duke early in the second quarter. From that point forward the rout was on.



With a much-needed bye week coming up, now is a good time to look back on the 8-1 start and the FSU's prospects for the stretch run.


With the regular season three-quarters complete, the focus is slowly moving to the post-season and what the latest BCS standings will mean to Seminoles' future.
