Spring drawing to a close in Athens

With the end of the academic year in sight, the Georgia Bulldogs will finish up their spring conditioning in about a week before taking some time off to recharge for summer workouts. Big things are expected in the coming weeks as the NFL draft takes place, the incoming freshmen start arriving on campus, and injured players get back into the mix during summer drills in June.


The football team is going though is routine offseason workouts conditioning of weight room work and running. They will wrap-up things on Thursday, April 27th before having May off.


Due to NCAA rules, the coaching staff is not allowed to impose any formal weight lifting schedules on the players for the month (Student Athlete Discretionary Time is the official name of the period), but all have been given a summer workout manual with certain exercises they can do on their own to ensure they are ready for official summer workouts that begin the first week in June
for mandatory and optional workouts.
