Climbing the charts
Allen quarterback Nathan Dick was considered to be a name to remember prior to beginning his junior campaign with the Eagles.
He had actually started a playoff game against Southlake Carroll as a sophomore after spending most of the 2004 campaign as a backup to his older brother Casey, now the starter at Arkansas. With that type of pedigree and experience, he was almost considered "can't miss."
Then fate cruelly intervened.
He broke a bone in his leg midway through last season and only returned in time for the playoffs. Although his numbers were very good, 1,416 yards passing with 11 touchdowns, they weren't as eye catching as those from some of the other junior signal callers around the state.
SMU, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, Rice and Oklahoma are among the schools recruiting him the hardest.
