Imeokparia talks recruiting, PSU

Newark (Del.) running back Ed Imeokparia holds written scholarship offers from Michigan State and Colorado, but according to the 5-foot-11, 189-pound prospect he also has a ton a verbal offers. Blue White Illustrated talked with Imeokparia last night to see how his recruitment is going along with what he thinks about the Nittany Lions.

BWI: How is your recruitment going thus far?

Ed Imeokparia: It's going good right now, I'm sitting on two official offers right now, but I've got a ton of verbal ones. Michigan State and Colorado are the schools that have offered. But there are a bunch that are kind of official, probably more than twenty of those.

BWI: What are some of the schools whose offers are "kind of official?"

EI: Georgia, Virginia Tech, Penn State is kind of in that situation, and when it's all said and done I believe I will have official offers from those schools. I have a bunch of schools that are really evaluating me.

BWI: Which schools are your favorites at this point?

EI: Michigan State, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Georgia, and Tennessee.

BWI: Who has shown the most interest?

EI: Michigan State has shown the most interest, but Georgia has been going hard for a while. Georgia is probably closest to an official offer. I think I'll get that real soon because I was at their camp a couple days ago because the coaches just wanted to see me in person. I believe they liked what they saw. I'm in a different situation than a lot of players, I had high-ankle sprain last season, and when I did play I wasn't at 100 percent. So I'm going to the camps to get my name out there more.
