Reier's Review: Thursday Quick Hits

*After working out in shorts and helmets the first two days of fall camp, the Alabama Crimson Tide donned shoulder pads for Thursday afternoon's practice at Thomas-Drew Field.

*The increase in contact likely had something to do with the four skirmishes that broke out during today's practice. Three of the battles broke out in team drills, with offensive linemen Antoine Caldwell, Justin Britt, Mike Johnson and defensive tackle Lorenzo Washington, linebacker Marcel Stamps and cornerback Simeon Castille among the participants.

*It becomes more and more clear everyday that Caldwell will leave UA as one of the program's all-time greats. He absolutely stymied the defensive tackles he went up against during today's pass rush drill.
