Thursday practice report (PM)
After a light workout in the morning the Trojans held a more physical afternoon practice in shoulder pads on Thursday. The team worked on redzone offense and defense, punt coverage and return, turnover exercises and team drills. Freshman safety Allen Bradford had an interception and even squeezed in a couple of reps at tailback.
During the early moments of practice transfer Greg Woidneck had a slight wind at his back and took full advantage. His punts were soaring through the air, reminding observers of Tom Malone.
On field goals Mario Danelo hit just one of his three attempts. One was low and blocked before being returned by Shareece Wright. David Buehler hit one over 40-yards and just missed one from over 50. Woidneck was acting as the holder.
