Tuesday Morning Practice Report

The Trojans tried out a couple of new guys at safety on Tuesday, one kicker and one quarterback.

David Buehler is battling for kicking duties but spent his second day in a row working in the secondary while QB Garrett Green saw his first action at safety. USCFootball.com talked with secondary coach Rocky Seto about the switches.

With the switch of Allen Bradford to tailback, the coaches were looking for ways to develop more depth at the safety spot. Green and Buehler appeared to be good candidates.

"Both guys have safety experience," Coach Seto said after practice. "Garrett played both ways in high school and David played linebacker and safety at Santa Ana College."
