Will he be the first?

There aren't many Husker recruits who can say their father and brother have played for Nebraska, but one such example is Lincoln (Neb.) Southwest lineman Baker Steinkuhler. The standout junior's father Dean was an All-American for NU when he played in the early 80's, and his brother Ty is currently running with the second string defensive interior line.

With those bloodlines, it's no surprise that Steinkuhler is in line to be among the first members of the 2008 class to receive a Cornhusker offer on Sept. 1 - the first day that college coaches can tender current high school juniors.
