Williams playing both ways

Beaumont Central head coach Donald Stowers has a simple philosophy for building a football team.

"At this level, you've got to put your best players out there," Stowers said. "Everyone's got the same problems. Everyone has got four or five studs and if one of them goes down, then it changes everything in a hurry.".

Quarterback Brandon Williams definitely qualifies as a stud, and Stowers is going to do his best this fall to get Williams on the field as often as possible.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Williams runs a 4.5 second 40-yard dash and is rated as one of the best athletes in the state of Texas by most observers. The four-star prospect has already committed to Texas A&M.
