Utes invade Rose Bowl Saturday

The start of the 2006 season in Westwood brings with it plenty of questions and plenty of excitement. The Bruins have to figure out how to replace the "Big 3" on offense as well as most of their offensive line and will do so with a revamped coaching staff. In the meantime, they open with an always dangerous Utah team led by second year head coach Kyle Whittingham.

While many of their conference mates will open the season against less formidable foes, UCLA will enter the gauntlet from the beginning as just 3.5-point favorites over one of the Mountain West Conferences top teams.

Utah comes into the contest with a four-game winning streak over Pac-10 opponents, having bested Cal (2003), Oregon (2004) and Arizona (2004-05) in the last three seasons. UCLA is 7-0 all time in the series, and kickoff is set for 4:00 PDT Saturday afternoon.
