Las Vegas standout off and running

Running back/cornerback Eddie Wide (5-11, 175, 4.5) from Las Vegas (Nev.) Cimarron is off to a great start and is one of the reasons that his team is currently 3-0.

Wide is starting on both sides of the ball for his second straight season.

As a junior, Wide earned first-team all-league and all-state honorable mention honors as a running back after running for 1,400 yards and 20 touchdowns. He also accounted for five picks from his cornerback spot.

In three games as a senior, Wide has rushed for 356 yards and four touchdowns.

Wide has heard from Cal, Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon State, Utah State, Boise State, Fresno State, Nevada, UNLV, Utah, and Colorado State.

Wide is a member of the Rivals.com Nevada top 10 team for the class of 2007 landing as the Silver State's No. 8 prospect at any position.
