Post Game Notes and Quotes

Below are random notes and quotes following the Buffaloes' game against Kansas on October 28th:

** The loss snaps Colorado's five game winning streak against Kansas on the gridiron. CU now leads the all-time series 41-22-3.

** Defensive end Abraham Wright recorded his 10th sack of the season late in the first half. With three games left, he still has a shot at breaking the school single season sack record which is 14.

** A week after mishandling two punts, Stephone Robinson was removed as the Buffaloes' punt returner. The sure-handed but not very explosive Chase McBride handled the duties on Saturday. McBride only got a chance to return one punt, which he returned five yards.

** Most of the talk after the game surrounded the performance of freshman quarterback Todd Reesing, who helped engineer the Jayhawks' comeback on Saturday. He completed 7-of-11 passes in the second half for 106 yards and two touchdowns. Reesing also showed excellent mobility and rushed for a game-high 90 yards.

"I talked with Todd on the bus after last week's game about the possibility that he could be pressed in to service (against Colorado)," Kansas head coach Mark Mangino said after the game. "It could be because of injury, it could be because we are not moving the ball, it could be that it is in our best interest to get him some playing time. He was going to have to get ready for some playing time this week and prepare. You can see he was prepared."
