Rivals250 quarterback to decide

The time has come for Fort Smith (Ark.) Northside quarterback Kodi Burns to announce his college decision at a 2 p.m. Thursday at a press conference at Northside High.

The 6-foot-2, 194-pounder, the nation's ninth-ranked dual-threat quarterback prospect and the third-ranked overall prospect in the Natural State in this year's class will pick between two Southeastern Conference programs that currently are battling it out for the West division title this season, the Auburn Tigers, and the in-state Arkansas Razorbacks.

Burns is scheduled to take a visit to Auburn this weekend. The Tigers play host to Georgia. As of Monday, that visit was still on.

"I'm still going to Auburn this weekend for sure," Burns told AuburnSports.com "Coach (Tuberville) texted me (Sunday) and I talked to (recruiting) coach Hugh Nall and I'm still planning on going."

For the Razorbacks, offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn is Burns' recruiter of record. Al Borges and Nall are leading the charge for Auburn.
