New Orleans backer scheduling visits
New Orleans (La.) Edna Karr linebacker Korey Williams burst onto the scene after recording 88 tackles in nine games as a freshman. He went on to record over 100 tackles as a sophomore, and was set for more as a junior before Hurricane Katrina changed everything.
In the wake of the disaster Williams played at Garland (Texas) Sachse High School. He quickly made a name for himself earning All-District honors after tallying 85 tackles and five sacks in seven games.
His performance on the field caught the attention of recruiters from LSU, Baylor, and Oklahoma, and Baylor became the first to offer a scholarship.
