The Great Dayne

Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame quarterback Dayne Crist may end up being the most coveted passers in California for the class of 2008.

His statistics are good, but not spectacular. Passing for 1,200 and 17 touchdowns, he only threw three interceptions as a junior. However, Crist's success is overshadowed by his potential.

Standing 6-foot-5, 227-pounds, Crist possesses a physical stature that can intimidate defenses by just getting off the bus before a game. Passing the eye-ball test with size, Crist's stature doesn't make him a statue.

Rushing for 230-yards and four touchdowns in seven games, Crist adds mobility to an offensive game plan. It's a package that already has college coaches intrigued.
