Michigan offers Jersey athlete
The state of New Jersey is year in, year out one of top producers of football talent in the country and Michigan has always had a presence in the state. Although the Wolverines have gone five classes since signing a Jersey prospect, they are already very active in the Garden State in the class of 2008 and have offered another of the state's best.
New Brunswick athlete Brandon Smith is listed among the top 250 prospects in the pre-evaluation stage by Rivals.com. The 6-3, 210-pound Smith estimates his offer total at or near ten, with his latest coming from Michigan.
Rutgers, Syracuse and Colorado are among the other schools that have offered Smith. The tender from Michigan, though, has certainly caught his attention.
