Dawgs bit by the injury bug again

The razor thin offensive line situation got even thinner at practice on Wednesday as redshirt freshman Josh Davis went down with a knee injury during practice. Head coach Mark Richt is concerned about Davis and his status for G-Day remains uncertain.

"Josh Davis had something happen to him which we think is cartilage, but we do not know for sure," said Richt. "Ron (Courson) is not sure, but it might be a cartilage injury."

Davis joins fellow tackle and JUCO transfer Vince Vance on the Georgia sideline because of an injury.

"Vance has a PCL and that is the type of injury that does not require surgery. You have to heal the swelling down and get ready to play again, so he is out for 7-10 days from Monday," said Richt.

Offensive line coach Stacy Searels lost one player Seth Watts before spring practice began and now he has lost two of his four tackles in a two-week period. Vance is in a brace and cannot participate in any drills.
