The world according to Cory Boyd

Cory Boyd saw his most significant action of the spring Saturday during South Carolina's 102-play scrimmage at Williams-Brice Stadium.

He liked the energy, enthusiasm and effort he saw from his teammates during the two-hour competition in which the offensive and defensive units battled to a draw on a warm, sunny morning at Williams-Brice Stadium.

Boyd was particularly impressed by the performance of the much-scrutinized, often-criticized offensive line, which showed dramatic improvement from previous scrimmages.

The USC offense gained 198 yards on 47 carries, an average of 4.2 yards per rush. Boyd has 72 yards on 12 rushing attempts. Not spectacular, but it's a start.
