The Crimson And Gray Scrimmage Report

Wazzu wide receiver Brandon Gibson wowed the Mom's Weekend crowd of about 1,000 fans in the spring's final scrimmage on Saturday.

It has become quite the pattern this spring and in the last action of the 15 practices, it was Gibson stealing the show again, accounting for two of the team's three touchdowns on the day.

The first touchdown was a 39-yard catch courtesy of a perfect throw from Alex Brink. His second touchdown was even more impressive - Gibson lined up to return a Romeen Abdollmohammadi kick, something he hasn't practiced all spring, and returned it 89 yards for a touchdown. All in all, Gibson finished the day with four catches, 143 total yards and two touchdowns.

The other score on the day came from a Kevin Lopina pass to Greg Walker. Lopina, who has been battling hamstring injuries all spring, found a leaping Walker in the corner of the end zone for the score. Previous to Saturday, Lopina hadn't played in any of this spring's scrimmages.
