Jermaine Thomas is commitment No. 7 for FSU
First it was Nigel Carr, and now you can add Jermaine Thomas Jr. to Florida State's 2008 recruiting class. The First Coast High School (Jacksonville, FL) running back ended the drama on Monday night, committing to the 'Noles, ironically, on the same day that head coach Bobby Bowden was in Jacksonville.
"Being an FSU fan, my daddy is an FSU fan and for him to watch me play for them is exciting," said Thomas. "I'm ready to learn from the best."
Thomas brings a bruising style of play to the Seminoles who will need a solid running back to add depth to the backfield after signing no backs in 2007. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound speedster runs a 4.4 40-yard dash and looks forward to bringing that speed and excitement to Tallahassee.
