Lyle Moevao--Redshirt Review

Although he has been on campus less than a year, Lyle Moevao has received more than his fair share of attention. It is all part of the deal though, when you are entrenched in a quarterback battle for the coming season.

The 6-foot-0, 230 pound Moevao looks like he could line up at linebacker, but watch him throw the deep ball or run the offense and it is obvious that he belongs behind center. He is a natural leader and competitor, but behind the facemask is a big smile and contagious laugh that keep players gravitating toward him.

Moevao came to Oregon State from El Camino College, one of the nations premier junior college programs. He chose OSU over Nebraska, and came in and led the scout team throughout last season. Lyle still remembers the day that he committed to OSU like it was yesterday.

"That day I committed to Coach Riley and the Oregon State Beavers was a day that I will never forget and something I will always be proud of because it represents everything I've worked for," said Moevao.
