Running back has questions to answer this summer
A year ago at this time the concern was Nebraska had too many running backs and there was no way head coach Bill Callahan could keep all of them happy.
Now the concern for the Huskers as they head into summer conditioning is they don't have enough running backs to make it through the 2007 season.
With Brandon Jackson and Leon Jackson no longer with the program and Kenny Wilson's (broken leg) injury situation, NU is left with only two running backs that have solid game experience-Marlon Lucky and Cody Glenn.
However, Glenn's health still remains a question as well. Glenn has been nursing a foot injury since last November, and its hard saying if he'll be 100 percent for fall camp. Here's a complete grade out of the running back position heading into summer conditioning.
Overall grade: C+
The depth and injury questions at running back drop the grade down to a C+ heading into summer conditioning.
The biggest question right now is the depth and durability of both Lucky and Glenn. Everybody knows these two guys have the ability to be good running backs, but both of them still need to prove they can do it over a 12 to 14 game schedule.
