Greensboro (NC) Northeast Guilford standout Michael Via unofficially visited Clemson Wednesday.

How did the trip go for the 6-foot-6, 261-pound tackle?

"It was pretty good," Via told Tigerillustrated.com. "My mom Mary and I went. We got in around 11:30 a.m. and left around 4 in the afternoon.

"We got to tour all the facilities," he continued. "(Tight ends) coach (Billy) Napier gave us a tour. We checked out the West End Zone. The weight room is pretty nice. We also met with the academic advisors."

What was the visit's highlight?

"Actually lunch was probably my favorite part," the Tar Heel state product noted. "(Offensive line) coach (Brad) Scott and us ate lunch and talked at a restaurant out on the golf course. He's sure down-to-Earth and easy to get along with."

What new offers has he recently picked up?
