Viney wants to contribute

[db]Courtney Viney[/db] (5-9, 160, 4.5) from Edison HS in Fresno was one of the Bruins' first commitments of the 2007 class. Viney has been in Westwood a couple of weeks now taking classes and working out with the team. He spoke with BruinBlitz on Thursday evening about his goals for this season and beyond.

Viney was a ballyhooed prospect out of Edison HS choosing the Bruins while passing up offers from schools like Cal and Nebraska.

He arrived in Westwood on June 24th with the rest of his classmates and has had a pretty hectic schedule ever since. "We workout four days a week," Viney explains. "My days starts at five o'clock and I am in the weight room by six. Then at seven I am up on the field running. I do all that and then go to summer school. It has been a lot but I am enjoying it."

Viney does not take easy courses as he is majoring in Architectural Engineering. His sister is in UCLA's Law school.
