Future Impact: Campbell

The USC Trojans finished second in the race for the recruiting national title in 2007 after three consecutive years of winning that crown.

While the 2007 recruiting class featured a nation best six players ranked five stars, it was the lack of offensive lineman that had Trojan fans puzzled.

Martin Coleman and Kristopher O'Dowd were the only two players USC had committed who are definitely destined for the offensive line. Michael Reardon, a 6-foot-6, 260-pound athlete from Orange Lutheran (Calif.) could play on either side of the ball, and it's yet to be determined which position he'll eventually play.

Fast forward five months later and the questions about the offensive line recruiting have come to a halt. On July 8, the Trojans scored again with the commitment of Daniel Campbell, a 6-foot-5, 330-pound guard from Aldine (Texas).
