Sunday practice report
Duke football took the field Sunday evening in full gear for only the second time in fall camp. Head coach Ted Roof appeared to be pleased with his team's effort as smiles and laughs were being passed around toward the end of the day. Despite the cheerful attitude shared by the coaches and players, there were still plenty of areas in which Roof could point out that needed improvement.
A key, however, to fielding a quality program is making sure players are having fun. After the disappointment that was last season, the team deserves the opportunity to laugh and enjoy themselves. Make no mistake about it, though, they wouldn't be enjoying themselves quite as much if they weren't doing some things right. So let the smiles be sign of good times.
