Thursday Insider: Injury tests Green, coaches
The horn's a joke, and the color is off - the "Greenmobile" really should be green.
But it beats the crutches, and it allowed Broderick Green to attend practice for the first time since undergoing surgery on his left foot, two days before. The true freshman tailback from Little Rock, Ark., motored around Howard Jones and Brian Kennedy fields Thursday on a little black scooter. It should be four-to-six weeks until his stress fracture heals.
Green has no interest in redshirting, so he must stay involved. Thursday, he had a script in his hands, spelling out the offense's practice game plan.
