Stuckey glad to be on field for Toledo
During last year's loss at Toledo, Darrell Stuckey was at home watching the game on TV. This year though, Stuckey is more confident in not only himself, but his defense as well.
"I like to make it to the equivalent of our 2005 defense," Stuckey said. "We are more competitive than ever. Being competitive makes you play faster, and it makes you play smarter and you don't pull any punches."
Stuckey and his teammates have watched plenty of last year's game on tape. The secondary mainly consisted of Aqib Talib, Blake Buetel, Justin Thornton and Jerome Kemp. Only Talib remains a starter from that group. Stuckey noticed many errors from the 37-31, double overtime loss.
"We watched that game on tape," he said. "We just missed a lot a assignments and it should have been a game that wasn't even close. But mistakes keep people in the game."
