ASI Insider Report: Parker becoming household name

Last season, Preston Parker was an unknown freshman from Delray Beach, Florida. Even though he appeared briefly in 10 games, the former Rivals250 member caught just two passes for 26 yards and had three rushes for 13 yards.



It's been a very different story so far in 2007.



At the conclusion of two-a-day practices, the sophomore wideout earned the starting job at slot receiver and on punt returns. In just two games, he has more than proven himself as a major weapon amassing 245 all-purpose yards. At receiver, Parker leads the team with eight catches for 117 yards, and at 13.8 yards per punt return, he ranks second in the ACC in that category.
