Dorrell upbeat about the rebound

It was a much more chipper Karl Dorrell this Monday than the one that just past. The UCLA head coach was happy with the way his team rebounded and though Dorrell acknowledges there is work to be done the victory was a positive step forward. The following is Dorrell's opening statement at yesterday's press conference.

Dorrell: "Good afternoon everybody recapping the game from last week and I will get right to it. It was good to see our team respond positively to the circumstances the week before.

"We played with really good effort. We played for a 60 minute football game and it was a great response and a positive step forward to see our players respond that way.

"There was some great execution on both sides of the ball and there was great execution on special teams. There were some lapses at times in terms of missed execution a little bit in all three areas.

"For the most part we did a great job of really outworking our opponent and that was something that was impressive to see.
