BOL notebook: Motley returns

The fifth game of the season wasn't at all what Brian Motley had in mind for his college debut, but considering the initial prognosis on his fractured ankle was as many as eight weeks on the sideline, the red shirt freshman isn't complaining.

Not even on Sunday, when the Alabama nose guard awoke after the Crimson Tide's loss to Florida State with enough soreness that "I couldn't hardly walk."

"I came over here to rehab and they did a good job of getting me back on my feet," Motley said.

Motley fractured his ankle about a week before the season began, and was replaced in the starting lineup by Lorenzo Washington.
