Texas Tech middle linebacker Victor Hunter has been catching the media's eye recently. But RedRaiderSports.com has been trying to spread the word about Hunter for quite some time. Here's a look at Hunter, from when he first put on shoulder pads for the Red Raiders to his current status at middle linebacker.

It's not always about who's the biggest, fastest, or strongest. Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach has made it known many times publicly that he's always felt that online rankings of recruits are ridiculous and not accurate in any way. "The Red Raiders recruited Hunter, who was a two-star prospect without much fanfare, he'd played some on defense in high school but was listed as a tight end out of Irving Nimitz. He was signed with the hopes that Tech would move him to linebacker and then see what they had down the line."
