Recruiting still on hold for Gray

Running back Cyrus Gray has carried his DeSoto teammates all season long. He's not only been DeSoto's most productive player all season long (164 carries for 1,414 yards and 22 touchdowns), but he's also playing out of position at quarterback and has assumed, and even embraced the leadership role that goes with the position.

In fact, he had his best game of the season two weeks ago against Arlington Lamar when he had 298 yards and five touchdowns despite suffering a high ankle sprain.

The 6-foot, 188-pound Rivals.com four-star prospect has scholarship offers from Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Florida, Louisville, California, Oklahoma State, Kansas and Colorado.
