Husker coaches focus recruiting efforts in-state

Instead of traveling the entire country to evaluate recruits over the bye week, Nebraska head coach Bill Callahan and his staff have chosen to keep their focus in-state.

Callahan sent his staff on the road on both Monday and Tuesday, as they hit an estimated 70 high schools ranging from Omaha North to Chadron.

North head coach Larry Martin said NU tight ends coach Joe Rudolph was by on Tuesday just to stop in and also follow up on 2009 offensive line prospect James Davis and 2010 running back prospect Ron Coleman.

"More than anything, I think he just wanted to come by and say hello," Martin said. "Coach Rudolph is a class guy and that was the first time I've ever gotten a chance to meet him before."
